It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Johanna Baldwin on March 15, 2026, at the age of 53. She left this world in the comforting presence of her loved ones, just as she had lived—with grace and warmth. Born on February 15, 1973, in Waldorf, Johanna was a beacon of light and positivity, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her quick wit and warm smile were legendary, always ready to lift spirits and bring laughter to any room. Johanna had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, a testament to her boundless kindness and generosity. Johanna was the cherished daughter of the late Mary Baldwin, who predeceased her, along with her beloved daughter Kourtney Blake, sister Helen Baldwin, nieces, and nephews. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her surviving family members, including her devoted partner Jane Smith, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Together, Johanna and Jane built a life full of love and laughter, raising three children and nurturing their family with unwavering dedication. Johanna's legacy is survived by her loving daughter Kourtney Blake and her cherished grandchild, who will carry forward the lessons of love and compassion imparted by Johanna. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Johanna's spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and in the countless lives she touched with her generosity and kindness. A celebration of Johanna's remarkable life will take place on March 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, located at 17 Industrial Lane, Waldorf, MD, 20602. Family, friends, and all whose lives Johanna touched are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of her enduring spirit. As we say goodbye to Johanna, we are reminded of her favorite saying, often shared with a twinkle in her eye: "A day without laughter is a day wasted." May we all continue to carry her laughter and love in our hearts, spreading joy just as she did throughout her life.
