Joette Crutchfield LeBlanc went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026 at her son's home in Birmingham, Alabama. Joette was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and artist whose warmth and creativity touched countless lives. Born on November 22, 1949, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Joette was the cherished daughter of Roy Lee and Amelia Mae Crutchfield. From her earliest years, she was surrounded by the love of family, including her siblings: Carol Thomas, Linda Fresina (Frank), and Judy Stroughter.
Joette shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Patrick J. LeBlanc of 54 years. Together, they nurtured a loving family, raising their children: Vanessa Caillouet (Daniel), Adrien LeBlanc (Lauren), and Andre LeBlanc (Samantha), who carry forward her values and spirit. Joette's legacy extends through her seven adored grandchildren: Amelia, Jonathan, Jocelynne, Wyatt, Theodora (Teddy), Maxine (Max), and Van, each a testament to her enduring love and guidance.
Joette played an instrumental role in establishing Riverbend Baptist Church, where she served with unwavering dedication for nearly three decades. Her contributions as a secretary, treasurer, pianist, children's teacher, and adult Sunday school teacher reflect her boundless commitment to her faith and fellowship.
Her artistic soul found expression in her work as a watercolor artist, gaining recognition in the art community. Joette was a proud member of the Louisiana Watercolor Society, Art Guild of Louisiana, Denham Springs Fine Arts Association, and the Arts Guild of Point Coupee, where she also served on various boards. Her paintings, inspired by her surroundings and cherished art retreats, are celebrated for their vivid portrayal of the world as she saw it. Joette's passion for art was matched by her love for sharing these experiences with her special art friends.
In her quiet moments, Joette found joy in the simple beauty of life, from gardening to the wonders of nature. Her faith in Christ was the cornerstone of her life, and she shared her beliefs with grace and humility, ever eager to plant seeds of hope and wisdom in others.
Joette's life was a testament to love, family, faith, and creativity. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
Family and friends are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the life of Joette Crutchfield LeBlanc on Sunday, September 6th, 2026, at Riverbend Baptist Church, located at 25837 Kendalwood Rd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70817.
A church service will begin at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Celebration of Life from 11 A.M. - 12 P.M. We will gather to remember Joette, share stories and memories, and give thanks for the love and joy she brought to so many lives.
We hope you will join us for this special time of faith, fellowship, remembrance, and celebration as we honor Joette and the beautiful life she shared with us.
