In loving memory of Joel Daniel Holland, who graced this world on July 11, 1975, in Akron, Ohio, and left us too soon on May 22, 2026, at the age of 50. Joel's sudden departure due to a heart attack has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. Joel was the beloved son of Rosemary Holland and Donald Freed, who survive him, along with his cherished aunt, Eileen Holland. He was a devoted father to his two remarkable sons, Cameron and Matthew, who were the pride and joy of his life. While Joel was not married, his love for his sons was unwavering, and he took every opportunity to express how proud he was of them. In addition to his parents and sons, Joel is survived by his extended family, including his cousins Billy, Buzzy, Everett, Tina, Samuel, and Britney. He was predeceased by his grandparents, his dear aunt Linda Holland, Sue Holland, and his cousin Bradley. His family was central to his life, and he held them close to his heart. Joel was known for his vivacious spirit and infectious humor. His intelligence and wit made him a magnetic presence, drawing people in with ease. He was outgoing and had a unique ability to make people feel at ease, whether they were lifelong friends or new acquaintances. His personality was such that people either adored him or couldn't quite keep up with his vibrant energy—there was never an in-between. One of Joel's greatest passions was spending time at the casinos with his mother and aunt, where he cherished the shared laughter and camaraderie. He was a lover of music and found solace in the pages of a good book. Joel was always eager to lend a helping hand, embodying the essence of kindness and generosity. His willingness to assist others and his genuine care for those around him left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Though Joel did not have grandchildren, his legacy lives on through his sons and the countless lives he touched with his warmth and compassion. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever be celebrated by those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we gather to remember Joel Daniel Holland, let us honor his memory by embracing life with the same enthusiasm and love that he shared with all of us. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply loved.
