May 26, 1985 — February 26, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Joe Selters, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left us on February 26, 2026, at the age of 40. Joe was born on May 26, 1985, in the welcoming embrace of Corona, California, to Donald Joe Selters and Victoria Lynn Spivey. His departure, as sudden as it was tragic, occurred while he was at work, involved in a car accident, leaving a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Joe was a proud graduate of Round Mountain High School, where he first began to exhibit the vivacious spirit and zest for life that marked his days. His career as a tow truck driver at Cal Nevada Towing was not just a job, but a reflection of his dedication and work ethic. Joe was a cherished member of the E. Clampus Vitus, a testament to his love for camaraderie and community. He was the heartbeat of any gathering, known for his ability to walk into a room and instantly become the loudest voice, his laughter a melody that would echo long after he left. Outspoken and unapologetically honest, Joe had a knack for saying exactly what was on his mind, a trait that endeared him to many. Joe's life was a tapestry woven with laughter, adventure, and love. He found pure joy in dirtbike riding, a passion that mirrored his free spirit and love for the thrill of life. His barbecues were legendary, gatherings where the air was filled with laughter and the aroma of good food. Most importantly, Joe cherished every moment spent being goofy with his children, Devin, Shyann, and Deegan, who were the light of his life. Joe's legacy is carried on by his loving father, Donald Selters, his cherished children, Devin Shyann, and Deegan, and his devoted sisters, Crystal Freier, Mindy Svoboda, and Tonya Young. His life, though cut short, was one filled with love and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A memorial service to honor Joe's life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The family invites those who knew and loved Joe to join in celebrating the extraordinary life he led. In the words of his family, "Dad, always on my mind, forever in my heart." Joe's spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those he touched, reminding us all of the joy he brought into this world. May he rest in eternal peace.
