In Loving Memory

Joe Selters
May 26, 1985 — February 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joe Selters, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world too soon on February 26, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on May 26, 1985, in Corona, California, Joe was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him, a presence that will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
Joe was the cherished son of Don Selters and the late Victoria Spivey, who predeceased him. He grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from Round Mountain High School in Round Mountain, Nevada. Throughout his life, Joe carried with him the values of hard work and camaraderie, which were evident in every role he took on and every friendship he nurtured.
For many years, Joe worked as a dedicated tow truck driver for Cal-Nevada Towing. His colleagues and clients alike knew him not just for his reliable service, but for his ability to lighten the mood with a joke or his unforgettable, booming laugh. His laughter was infectious, a true testament to his love for life and his desire to bring joy to those around him.
Joe was a proud member of the ECV Clampers, a brotherhood where his warmth and humor were treasured. Outside of work and his memberships, Joe was a man of many passions. He found freedom and exhilaration in riding dirt bikes, a hobby he pursued with the same enthusiasm he brought to all aspects of his life. He was also a gifted barbecuer, known to gather family and friends for delicious meals served with a side of his characteristic jokes and laughter.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his treasured children, Devin, Shyann, and Deegan Selters, his father Don Selters, and his sisters Crystal Freier, Mindy Svoboda, and Tonya Young. Joe's legacy of love and laughter lives on in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
A celebration of Joe's vibrant life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Elks Lodge, located at 241 Central St, Tonopah, NV 89049. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor a man whose life was defined by his spirited nature and boundless generosity.
The family wishes to extend a special message: "Dad, remembering you is easy; we do it every day. Missing you is the heartache that never goes away."
In this time of loss, let us hold dear the memories of Joe's laughter and love, carrying forward his spirit in our hearts. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for the joy he brought to our lives.
