Joe Delgado

April 12, 1944 — April 8, 2026

Joe Delgado, 81, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, due to cardiac arrest. Born on April 19, 1944, in Pueblo, Colorado, Joe lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and quiet strength. Joe spent over 40 years working as a mechanic, a trade he took great pride in. Known for his skill and patience, he was the kind of man people trusted—not just to fix what was broken, but to do it right the first time. Outside of work, Joe enjoyed fishing in the early mornings, watching old western films, and spending time in his garage, where he could often be found working on small projects or simply enjoying the peace. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Maria Delgado, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on family, raising three children who carry forward his values of honesty, resilience, and loyalty. Joe was a proud grandfather of six, and nothing brought him more joy than watching his grandchildren grow. Joe was known for his calm demeanor, strong work ethic, and the way he showed his care through actions rather than words. He was the kind of man who would lend a hand without being asked and never expected anything in return. His presence was steady, dependable, and deeply appreciated by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Daniel Delgado (Ana), Teresa Delgado, and Luis Delgado (Marissa), as well as his six grandchildren and extended family. He is reunited in rest with his beloved wife, Maria. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and close friends. In Joe’s honor, those who knew him are encouraged to take a moment to slow down, appreciate the simple things, and look out for one another—just as he always did.
