It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Joe D Yanez, who departed this world on June 6th, 2026, just a few days shy of his 80th birthday. Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family, in the same spirit with which he lived his life. Joe was born on June 21st, 1946, in the sun-drenched town of Indio, California, to Josephine and Jose D Yanez. From a young age, Joe embodied a zest for life and an innate curiosity about the world around him. He graduated from Coachella Valley High School in 1964, where he made lifelong connections and left an indelible mark with his warm personality and enthusiastic participation in school activities. In the spring of 1967, Joe married the love of his life, Eudelia. Their marriage was a testament to deep love and unwavering partnership, a union that blessed them with three wonderful daughters: Lisa, Betsy, and Emily. Joe and Eudelia's love was a beacon of hope and strength, inspiring all who knew them. Although Eudelia preceded him in death, their love story remains a cherished legacy for their family. Joe dedicated over 35 years of his life to working as a construction worker, a career that not only showcased his dedication and hard work but also his love for building and creating. He was a man who took immense pride in his work, leaving behind structures that will stand the test of time, much like the values and love he instilled in his family. Known for his talkative nature, Joe had the unique ability to turn strangers into friends with just a few words. Whether at the gym or a family gathering, Joe's presence was always felt as he eagerly engaged in conversations, weaving a tapestry of stories that often left others inspired and uplifted. His social nature was one of his most endearing qualities, a testament to his genuine interest in others and his love for life. Joe's legacy is carried on by his daughters, Lisa Yanez, Betsy Yanez-Chavez (William), and Emily Yanez, along with his five cherished grandchildren: Angel and Ryan Garcia, and William, Nyah, and Tristan Chavez. They are a living testament to his love, values, and the joy he brought into their lives. In addition to his immediate family, Joe leaves behind a wealth of friends and extended family who will forever remember his laughter, kindness, and the countless stories that made every moment shared with him unforgettable. As we remember Joe, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection to family and friends. His memory will forever live in our hearts and continue to guide us. A private family service will be held to honor Joe's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Joe's name, to continue his legacy of kindness and generosity. Rest in peace, Joe. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
