In Loving Memory
Joe Alexander
March 30, 1937 — April 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Alexander on April 13, 2026, in the comfort of his home. Born on March 30, 1937, in Texas, Joe lived a life rich in love, learning, and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Joe was the beloved son of ISora and Costello Alexander, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his sisters Gloria, Geneva, and Marie. Despite these significant losses, Joe carried forth the values instilled by his family, building a life centered on love, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Joe is survived by a large and loving family, including his children Joe Jr., Lilia, Connie, Tifa, Sadia, Corey, and Donovan. He was a cherished grandfather to 30 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren. His extended family includes Lee Author, Redeic Dixon, Joann Horne, Lee Sterling, Little Hands, Betsy, Miss Leach, Mario, Beverly, and David, all of whom will deeply miss his presence.
Joe was a man of many talents and passions. He pursued higher education with zeal, attending college to study carpentry and theology. His academic journey saw him earn both an associate degree and a bachelor's degree, equipping him to become a skilled carpenter and a devoted pastor. His love for his work was matched only by his love for fishing and his skill in building not just houses, but also fishing poles.
A man of faith and intellect, Joe was passionate about the Bible and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of mathematics and the English language, often found with a dictionary in hand. His humor was infectious, and he had a knack for lightening any mood with a well-timed joke. Those who visited his home were welcomed with warmth, understanding, and an open door, always finding in Joe a nonjudgmental confidant who was eager to learn about others and offer sage advice.
Joe's love for life was evident in his hobbies, which included savoring his favorite foods, especially liver, and spending leisurely afternoons playing dominoes at the park with friends. His life was a testament to the joys of simple pleasures and meaningful connections.
A memorial service to honor Joe's life will be held on May 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Greater Faith Grace Bible Church, located at 249 East Randall, Rialto, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Greater Faith Grace Bible Church, an organization that held a special place in Joe's heart.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who offered their support during this time, especially the staff who helped with the arrangements. Your kindness and generosity have been a source of comfort.
As we say goodbye to Joe, let us remember him not with tears, but with fond memories of his love, laughter, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. May his spirit continue to guide us, and may his soul find eternal peace.
