Jody L. (Dvorak) Klitz

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jody L. Klitz, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left this world on July 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on January 21, 1967, in Grand Forks, ND, Jody was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her 59 years. Jody was the cherished daughter of Jacob and the late Paulette Dvorak. She was a devoted wife to her soulmate, James Klitz, with whom she shared 23 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and joy. Their union, celebrated on June 7, 2003, in Grand Forks, ND, was a testimony to their enduring love and friendship. A proud graduate of Red River High School in 1985, Jody furthered her education by earning a degree in Medical Coding from Northland Technical College. Her career began at Altru Clinic, extended to the Cancer Center of ND, and culminated in a job she cherished at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. Jody was not only dedicated to her profession but also to the many lives she touched through her work. Jody was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in playing cards with her family, immersing herself in books and puzzles, and nurturing her deck and backyard with vibrant flowers and pretties. Her annual anniversary trips to Duluth with James were treasured moments that highlighted their shared love and companionship. She is survived by her loving husband, James Klitz; her father, Jacob J. Dvorak; her children, Michael Dvorak, Kristie Klitz, Matthew Klitz (Samantha), and Andrew Klitz (Ashley); her siblings, Jeff Dvorak (Moni), Chris Dvorak (Kari Bergman), and Cathy Dvorak; her nephew, Jake Dvorak; her bestie and sister-in-law, Jackie Koesterman; and nine grandchildren. Jody also leaves behind numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory. Jody's life was a testament to her beautiful spirit. She was kind, witty, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her strength and unselfish nature were evident to all who knew her, and her love for her family was immeasurable. Jody's legacy is one of generosity and selflessness, as she consistently gave of herself to family and friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Paulette Dvorak, her grandparents Joe and Lillian Dvorak and Paul and Lila Infeld, her mother and father-in-law, James Klitz Sr and Delores Klitz, and her aunts, Fran Dvorak, Debbie Morseth, Jackie Kvamme, and Bev Aure, Jody is now reunited with those she dearly loved. A celebration of Jody's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gregory Norman Funeral Home, located at 2950 S Washington St, Grand Forks, ND, 58201.
