In Loving Memory

Jody Boecker
July 22, 1969 — May 28, 2026
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved family member, Jody Linn Boecker.
Jody Linn Boecker (Whitlock), born July 22, 1969, passed away May 28, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Jody spent much of her life in the Mediapolis community. She worked at Mepo Foods and also dedicated many years to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, helping elderly individuals both in their homes and in nursing facilities. Her compassion, kindness, and willingness to help those in need left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched.
Jody is survived by her loving husband, Travis Boecker; her parents, Larry and Linda Whitlock; her children, Brody Broders (Lindsay), Madyson Lincoln (Brandon), and Brady Broders; her beloved grandchildren, Emmy Broders and Wrenly Lincoln; and her sisters, Teresa Butcher (Kirk) and Cindy Sulzberger (Lee), Brother in law Lance Boecker (Mary), and many close family and friends.
Jody loved traveling with her husband and friends, she found peace anywhere there was water. Whether it was a lake, river, or ocean, she was happiest with her feet in the sand listening to the sound of the waves. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She loved sleepovers, adventures, making memories, and being “Mimi” to Emmy and Wrenly.
One of Jody’s greatest wishes was to introduce her granddaughters to the ocean for the first time. That wish became a reality shortly before her passing. Some of her final joyful moments were spent on the beach, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Watching Emmy and Wrenly run and jump through the waves while she sat with her feet in the sand. It was a memory she treasured and one her family will carry with them forever.
Jody will be remembered for her caring heart, her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments. Though her time here was far too short, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Jody’s life will be held at Clover Creek Event Venue from 1pm-5pm on July 25th, 2026.
