In loving memory of Joanne Marie Braswell, a cherished soul who graced this world with her presence on February 25, 1969, and peacefully departed on May 2, 2026, at the age of 57. Joanne was born in the heart of Fort Knox, Kentucky, a beacon of love and strength for her family and friends. She passed away at Diversacare Nursing Home in Eupora, Mississippi, surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Joanne was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Luzella Mays, who instilled in her the values of compassion and kindness that guided her throughout her life. She was the devoted wife of the late Bobby Braswell, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. A proud graduate of Jonesboro High School, Joanne carried her education with her as a foundation for a life well-lived. Her journey through life was marked by her dedication to her family and her unwavering generosity to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joanne's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of love and dedication. She was a proud mother to her surviving children: Kasey and Taylor Stevens, Paige and Jimmy Brown, Angel Dye, Joshua Dennings, and Alex and Brittany Walton. Her nurturing spirit and steadfast support were the cornerstones of her family, and her legacy will continue to flourish in the lives of her 15 adored grandchildren, each one a testament to her enduring love. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Joanne is survived by her loving siblings: her brother, Robert Mays, and her sisters, Sally Roberts, Cheryl Cantrell, and Teresa Southerly. Their bond was a source of strength and support, a testament to the enduring ties of family. Joanne was predeceased by her loving husband, Bobby Braswell, her parents, Robert and Luzella Mays, her brother, Gary Mays, and her grandson, Hayden Dye. Though they have departed from this world, Joanne's heart was a wellspring of cherished memories and enduring love for them all. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Joanne's life, allowing her family to celebrate her memory in a tranquil and intimate setting, as she would have wished. As we remember Joanne Marie Braswell, let us celebrate a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. Her warmth and kindness will be forever missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
