JoAnna was the cherished daughter of the late Jimmie Castleberry and Easter Palmer, who instilled in her the values of hard work, compassion, and family devotion that defined her life. She was also predeceased by her beloved brother, Jimmie Castleberry Jr., and her dear husband, Herman Wilson, whose memories she treasured deeply.
JoAnna's life was a testament to dedication and service, a journey she embarked upon with an unwavering spirit. Her professional legacy was marked by her tenure at Los Angeles County General Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, where she worked diligently and compassionately, touching countless lives with her kindness and professionalism. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Regenia Wilson (Eddie Marshall) and Rosel Elaine Wilson, who continue to carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Her siblings, Obie Castleberry, Hazel Castleberry, Betty Castleberry, Mary Nicholson, and Sheryl Farmer, were lifelong companions, sharing in joys and sorrows, and remaining steadfastly by her side throughout her life.
JoAnna's pride and joy were her granddaughters, Kia, Dominique, Dion, and Asha, who were blessed with her nurturing love, wisdom, and unwavering support. She was also the proud great-grandmother to four precious great-grandchildren, whose laughter and innocence brought her immeasurable joy and fulfillment.
