In Loving Memory of Joann Perry We gather in heart and spirit to remember and celebrate the life of Joann Perry, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on April 6, 2026, surrounded by the loving presence of her family. Born on September 17, 1942, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Joann was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Josephine Austin, who predeceased her. She was 83 years old at the time of her passing. Joann's life was a tapestry woven with warmth, kindness, and an unyielding spirit. She was known for her kind heart, her infectious smile, and the laughter that so often filled the spaces she inhabited. Her home was a sanctuary of love and warmth, a place where family and friends were always welcome to share in her joy and hospitality. As a dedicated employee of Altell Publishing for many years, Joann exemplified commitment and diligence. Her colleagues remember her as a reliable and cheerful presence, someone who brought enthusiasm and care to her work every day. Joann's passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid reader, often found immersed in the pages of a mystery novel, her imagination dancing with the intrigue and suspense she so loved. The local library was her haven, a place where the worlds of her favorite authors came alive. A devoted sports enthusiast, Joann spent many a Sunday afternoon cheering on Penn State Football and enjoying the serene competitiveness of golf. Her joy was also deeply rooted in family traditions, like trips to Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, and the simple pleasure of an ice cream cone from Sara’s, followed by a leisurely drive around the picturesque peninsula. Family was at the heart of Joann's existence. She leaves behind son, Keith Perry, and her daughter, Robin Snarski. Her legacy is carried forward by her three treasured grandchildren, Adam, Jillian, and Sara Snarski, who will always remember the love and wisdom their grandmother shared with them. Joann was predeceased by her former husband, William Perry, and her son-in-law, Jeffrey (J.R.) Snarski, whose memories she cherished dearly. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the LECOM Millcreek Hospital ICU team, whose compassion and care ensured Joann's comfort in her final days. Their dedication brought peace to Joann and her family during a profoundly tender time. As we bid farewell to Joann Perry, we honor her life with gratitude for the love and joy she brought into our lives. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to embrace each day with kindness and joy, and to cherish the time we share with each other. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the local library in Joann's name, celebrating her love for reading and her passion for knowledge. May Joann's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
