It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Joann "Jodi" White, who was called home by God on May 21, 2026. Jodi left this world surrounded by the warmth of her family and the love of her dear friends, closing the final chapter of a life filled with kindness, faith, and generosity.
Born on February 11, 1947, in Shaw, Mississippi, Jodi was the cherished daughter of A. C. Miller and Ernestine (Nichols) Miller, both of whom predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her precious granddaughter Brittney, her brothers Jimmie Miller and Charles Scott, and her sister Betty Lenior.
Jodi graduated from McEvans High School and pursued psychology training, a testament to her lifelong dedication to understanding and helping others. Her career took her to Stouffer's Frozen Foods, where her hard work and dedication left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
From an early age, Jodi's faith was a guiding light in her life. She was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she became a devoted member. Her spiritual journey was marked by unwavering commitment and grace, traits that she carried into every aspect of her life.
Jodi is survived by her loving children: Belvia Gipson, Regis Miller (Joslyn), and Shari Miller, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her eight adored grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will forever cherish her memory. She is also survived by her sisters, Lillie Bailey, Florida Burton, Cheryl Stanton, Corlis Snow (Willie), Jacque Miller, and Edith Miller; her brothers, Larry Scott (Eloise), Glen Miller and his wife, Alvin Miller (Sabrina), and Calvin and his wife. Jodi's close friends, Rochelle Moore, Lenora "Moki" P, and Twila, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, will deeply miss her vibrant spirit and unwavering friendship.
Jodi's life was a testament to the power of love and community, and her warmth touched everyone she met. Her home was always open, and her heart was always full. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and a loving family united by her gentle guidance and enduring love.
A celebration of Jodi's life will be held on June 23, 2026, at 3:30 PM at the Rome Missionary Baptist Church, located at 24571 Booker Rd, Oakwood Village, OH. Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to gather in remembrance of a life beautifully lived and a soul eternally cherished.
