Joanie Bell

Joanie Bell, born on August 28, 1969, in St. Eustache, Quebec, passed away on July 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her 56 years, Joanie lived a life full of love, laughter, and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Joanie was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Maureen. She is survived by her beloved children, Carrissa and Tyler, and her precious grandchildren, Elliot and Mason, who were the light of her life. Joanie also leaves behind her siblings, Darlene and Robin, who together with many friends and extended family mourn the loss of a truly remarkable woman. A dedicated and skilled paramedic, Joanie graduated from Oxford Paramedic School. She devoted 15 years to serving communities from Sutton, Quebec, to Hamilton, Ontario. In 2020, she transitioned to work as a medic on film productions, where she continued to provide care with the same passion and dedication she was known for throughout her career. Joanie was renowned for her infectious laughter that would fill any room she entered, making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her heart of gold shone brightly in her readiness to help others, always stepping up to the plate when needed. A true testament to her character, Joanie's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever live in the hearts of those she touched. A celebration of Joanie's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Fifty Point Conservation Area. Her family encourages those who wish to honor Joanie's memory to come and celebrate her life with all who loved her dearly.
