In Loving Memory

Jo Ellen Sellers
September 7, 1969 — April 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jo Ellen Sellers, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Jo departed this world on April 21, 2026, at the age of 56, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and grace that will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
Born on September 7, 1969, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Jo was the cherished daughter of Audrey L. Willis and Ronnie B. Wallace, both of whom preceded her in death. Jo's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her profession, as well as her boundless love for animals.
Jo's storied career in healthcare began when she graduated from the NSU Nursing School of Shreveport in May 1991 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Her passion for learning and commitment to patient care led her to further her education, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2017 and a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration in 2021. Jo spent the majority of her career at Willis Knighton Medical Center, where she served in the surgery department and later as the Assistant Director Administrator in the Centralized Staffing Department. Known for her empathetic nature, Jo always advocated for treating each patient with the care and respect one would afford their own mother.
Outside of her professional life, Jo was a devoted wife to Ronnie Sellers, whom she married on April 16, 2004. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter. Jo's quick wit and ability to find humor in all situations endeared her to everyone around her. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, her heart swelling with pride and love for each of them.
Jo is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ronnie Sellers of Bossier City; her sons, Charles “Blake” Corder of Austin, Texas, and Jacob Corder of Los Fresno, Texas; her stepsons, Ryan Sellers (and wife Krista) of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Matt Sellers of Gross Tete, Louisiana; and her cherished grandsons, Hayden Guarisco, Luke Corder, Matthew Powell, and Owen Sellers. She also leaves behind her siblings: brother Ronald Wallace (and wife Teresa) of Murray, Kentucky; sister Melissa Wallace of Independence, Missouri; and brother Jason “Jazz” Davis of Austin, Texas.
A woman of diverse interests, Jo found solace and joy in tending to her beloved goats, cats, and dog. Her love for animals was only matched by her devotion to her family, with whom she shared countless cherished moments.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Jo Ellen Sellers will be held on April 24, 2026, at 12:26 AM at Aulds Funeral Home. As we gather to remember her, we do so with the knowledge that her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Jo's life was a testament to the power of kindness, and her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of being touched by her presence. Though she has left this earthly realm, her legacy of love and compassion will endure, a guiding light for all who knew and loved her.
