Jo Ann Wilson

Jo Ann Wilson, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication, passed peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on November 3, 1935, in the quaint Flat Lick community of Christian County, Kentucky, Jo Ann was the beloved daughter of James O. and Irene (Pryor) Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband, Wilburn "Willie" Wilson, who she married on May 23, 1954, and who passed away on May 15, 2025.
Jo Ann's life was rich with the love and laughter of family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Jo Brashears, and her dear son-in-law, Brad Brashears. Her daughter, Deborah Anderson, and son-in-law, Alvin Anderson, also remain to honor her memory. Jo Ann's legacy lives on through her grandchildren—John Martin Linton, Brandon Linton, Bridgett Perrin, Kenny Anderson, and Tracey Anderson—and her great-grandchildren Trevor, Tyler, Kylie, Tanner, James, Daniel, Kaci, and Kelei. She shared a special bond with her sisters, Susie Towler and Beuton Towler, and was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas, Leonard, and Marvin Campbell.
Throughout her life, Jo Ann exemplified the virtues of faith and service. She was an active and beloved member of the Cerulean Baptist Church, where her presence in the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) and her dedication to helping in the church kitchen were deeply appreciated. Her love for reading her Bible was known to all, as was her commitment to her family, who affectionately called her "Great Nana."
Jo Ann's professional life was marked by her years of dedicated service in the housekeeping department at Lake Barkley State Resort Park. Her work ethic and warm spirit left a lasting impression on colleagues and guests alike.
Her legacy is one of unwavering love, service to others, and a deep devotion to her faith and family. Jo Ann's life was a beacon of light, her gentle spirit touching all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her unfaltering faith in the Lord, and her boundless love for her family.

As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with devotion, kindness, and grace. Jo Ann Wilson will be profoundly missed but never forgotten, her memory cherished in the hearts of all who loved her.
