Jo Ann, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully in her home on July 25, 2026. Born on November 18, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee, Jo Ann was a beacon of kindness and generosity throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of Melvin and Ida Henderson Street, who preceded her in death, along with her brothers Gregory, Tim, Keith, and Michael Street. Jo Ann is remembered lovingly by her surviving family: her Aunt Barbra Miller, sister Sherry Ann Street, Kendria Miller, Keisha Street, Gregory Street Jr., and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she adored deeply. Jo Ann's upbringing in Memphis laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and community. She attended College High School, where she began to cultivate her passion for serving others. This passion carried through to her career, which included roles at Harold Ford and various other ventures, as well as her cherished group, the Hug Park Friends. Her love for people was evident in her involvement with Hill Chapel and her commitment to community service. Jo Ann had an extraordinary ability to connect with people of all ages, particularly children, and she spent countless hours volunteering and gardening, bringing life and joy wherever she went. Jo Ann's warmth and generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness and giving nature were the hallmarks of her character, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. A service to honor and celebrate Jo Ann’s life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at NJ Ford Funeral Home in Memphis, Tennessee.
