He passed peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital, embraced by the love and comfort of his family. Jionni was the cherished child of C. Jones, who now joins in mourning the loss of a son whose smile could illuminate even the darkest of days. Jionni was preceded in death by his parents, C.J., and is survived by his devoted siblings, TJS, JLPMC, and KJJS, who shared countless treasured moments with him. His aunts and uncles, Javiea, Valentina, Nahweyah, and Nishe, will forever hold dear the memories of his vibrant spirit and joyful presence. From a young age, Jionni had an extraordinary ability to change the mood of any environment he entered. A true lover of life, Jionni found joy in gaming and collecting trading cards, hobbies through which he connected with friends and family, creating cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence was a gift, and his joyful spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him. A celebration of Jionni's life will be held on April 8, 2026, at 6:41 AM on the serene grounds of the Narragansett Indian Reservation. The service will take place on private land, a fitting setting to honor a young life that was deeply connected to family and tradition. In this time of profound sorrow, the family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of support and love from friends and community members.
