Jimmy Lee Monceaux, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on September 18, 2026, at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on June 19, 1950, in the warm community of Jennings, Louisiana, Jimmy was the cherished son of the late Clyde Monceaux and Dorthy Michelle Benoit. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dean Monceaux, and leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Jimmy's life was a testament to dedication and love. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn D Monceaux, with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised a beautiful family, filled with laughter and cherished memories. Their union was blessed with two children, Jimmy Lee Jr, married to Annette, and Joshua S Monceaux, married to Lauren. Additionally, Jimmy was a loving stepfather to Chad, married to Heather Boudreaux, and Blaine, married to Melissa Boudreaux. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to six grandchildren: Brendan, Nick, and Brett Boudreaux, and Madisyn, Guage, and Korbin Monceaux. Jimmy's life was enriched by his family, including his sister Ellen Turner, and brothers Jesse Ardion and Regan Beniot. He graduated from Lake Arthur High School, embarking on a fulfilling career in the oil field industry, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Outside of his professional life, Jimmy found joy in the natural world. He was an avid hunter, relishing the excitement of duck, dove, and deer hunting. His love for the land extended to tending to his garden, a sanctuary of peace and growth. A skilled woodworker, Jimmy spent countless hours crafting and creating, a testament to his patience and creativity. The Monceaux "shop" kitchen was a gathering place where he spent cherished moments with friends and family, sharing stories and laughter. Jimmy's life was a mosaic of love, service, and commitment, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His memory will be carried on in the hearts of his family and friends, a beacon of strength and kindness. The family invites those who wish to honor Jimmy's memory to make a donation to a charity of their choice, continuing his legacy of generosity and compassion.
