He was preceded in death by his devoted parents and five brothers: Clyde, Johnny, Randy, Jerry, and Leroy Dixon, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into eternal rest. Jimmy’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. As a young man, he grew up in a bustling household, learning the values of hard work and family from his parents and siblings. He carried these lessons with him throughout his life, always prioritizing those he held dear. For over 30 years, Jimmy dedicated himself to his craft as a printer at Litho-Krome in Columbus, Georgia. His colleagues remember him not only for his exceptional skill and diligence but also for his infectious laugh and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his four children: Johan Dixon of Columbus, Georgia; Latryce Horace of Columbus, Georgia; Jarvis Horace of Phenix City, Alabama; and Xaveria Horace of Phenix City, Alabama. His children will forever carry with them the values he instilled and the love he freely gave. Though he leaves no great-grandchildren, his legacy will continue to flourish through the lives of those he touched. Jimmy is also survived by his two brothers, Willie Lee (Angelia) Dixon of Southfield, Michigan, and Bruce Dixon of Oakland, California, along with his sisters Ella Seay of Columbus, Georgia; Patricia Riggins of Phenix City, Alabama; Irma (Bobby) Toombs of Phenix City, Alabama; Shelia (Thomas) Cook of Phenix City, Alabama; Barbara (Sidney) Thomas of Phenix City, Alabama; and Vonda (Cleveland) Newsome of Phenix City, Alabama. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Jimmy’s life, in accordance with his family’s wishes. Though the farewell is intimate, the love and memories shared by all who knew him are immense and everlasting. Jimmy Lee Dixon’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived, and we are comforted by the knowledge that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before him, and may his memory forever be a blessing.
