It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Frank Perry, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who departed this world on July 4, 2026, at the age of 84. Jimmy passed away peacefully at home in the loving embrace of his family after a brief illness.
Born on December 14, 1941, in the small town of Brady, Texas, Jimmy was the cherished son of Walter James Perry and Marceline Perry. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, two beloved sisters, a nephew, and a niece, who all held special places in his heart.
Jimmy was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife, Rhonda, with whom he shared 32 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. December 14, 1994, marked the day they vowed to spend their lives together, a promise they wholeheartedly fulfilled.
A proud father, Jimmy is survived by his daughter Valorie and her husband Mark, as well as his son Jeff and his wife Rachel. His love for his family extended to his four grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride into his life.
A graduate of Weatherford High School, class of 1960, Jimmy pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University. His quest for knowledge led him to polygraph school, where he obtained his license, a testament to his dedication and curiosity.
Jimmy served his country with honor in the U.S. Army, embodying the values of duty and loyalty. His career in law enforcement began at the Weatherford Police Department and took him to the Irving and Denton Police Departments. He rose through the ranks to become Assistant Chief of Police in Denton, reflecting his commitment to justice and service. Later in life, he embarked on a new chapter at Lockheed in document security control, where he worked until retirement.
A man of integrity and principle, Jimmy was a long-standing member of the TCI Frog Club, where he forged lasting friendships and contributed to the community. His reputation as a loving husband was matched by his ability to be steadfast and resolute when needed, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.
A service to honor and celebrate Jimmy's life will be held on July 9, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home located at 3100 White Settlement Road. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join in remembering a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, a gesture that reflects Jimmy's generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.
