It is with deep sadness and profound respect that we announce the passing of Jimmy D. Kutch, a devoted family man, loyal friend, and proud patriot, who peacefully departed this world on June 26, 2026, at the age of 77. Jim passed away comfortably at his home while watching TV. Born on July 3, 1948, in the heart of Cumberland County, Jim was the beloved son of Sarah and Don Kutch, who predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his cherished wife, Debbie Kutch, with whom he shared a loving marriage until her passing in 2005. Jim leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by his adored daughter, Tiffany Kutch, and her partner Ryan Shoecraft. He was a proud grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren: Trinity Torrance of Burleson, Hadley Garison of Denton, Mya Shoecraft, and Rayden Shoecraft of Burleson. His family also includes his brother-in-law, John Wood, and numerous extended cousins. Jim cherished the lifelong friendships he maintained with Malynda Weiland and her family, as well as Tony Thomas and his family, who all held a special place in his heart. Jim was a man of many accomplishments. After graduating from Wellington High School in Wellington, Texas, he enlisted in the US AIR FORCE PROUDLY SERVING IN VIETNAM . His dedication to service was evident through his honorable tenure in the United States Air Force from 1968. Where he proudly served his country. Following his military service, Jim dedicated 30 years of exemplary work at General Motors in Arlington, Texas, before retiring. His commitment to excellence extended beyond his professional life; in 1984, he became a Mason, further exemplifying his dedication to community and service. Jim’s life was rich with passions and pursuits. He was known for his meticulous care of his vehicles, a truck and Harley that he kept in immaculate condition. His love for the outdoors was reflected in his well-tended yard, where he often engaged in friendly competition with neighbors for the most well maintained yard. Those who knew Jim will remember him as a loving husband, a devoted father, and a doting grandfather. He was a man of strength and discipline who provided a beautiful life for his family, always upholding a standard of love that was as strict as it was nurturing. In his later years, Jim found companionship in the warm community of Tennessee, where neighbors became family, providing camaraderie and care. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to these neighbors for their unwavering support and friendship over the past decade. In accordance with his wishes, a funeral ceremony will be held at DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie,TX. to honor Jim's life and legacy. Jimmy D. Kutch's life was a testament to love, integrity, and commitment. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Rest in peace, Jim, knowing your life was a beacon of strength and love for all who knew you.
