It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Jimmy Clark on February 4, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on March 5, 1938, in the charming town of Frankfort, Kentucky, Jimmy was the cherished son of J.D. Clark and Gladys Wright Clark. Their values and love helped shape the remarkable man he became. Jimmy's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and service. After completing his education, he answered the call of duty and served his country with honor as a member of the 100th Division US Army Reavers. His year of active duty was a testament to his courage and commitment to the ideals he held dear. For 37 years, Jimmy was a steadfast presence at Farmers Bank and Capital Trust Co., where he built a distinguished career. Known for his integrity, work ethic, and warm demeanor, he left an indelible mark on colleagues and clients alike. His professional legacy is one of dedication and excellence. In 1959, Jimmy married the love of his life, Nannie Hosley Clark. Together, they shared a beautiful 65-year journey filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Their bond was a beacon of enduring love, and they created a home that was a sanctuary for family and friends. Jimmy was a devoted father to his daughter Ricki Gardenhire, who brought immense pride and joy to his life. He cherished the role of grandfather to Meagan Hart (John), Daniel Clark, and Elizabeth Gardenhire. His love for his grandchildren was boundless, and he delighted in their achievements and adventures. Preceding Jimmy in death were his beloved son, Daniel M. Clark, and his brother, Mim Carol Clark. Though their absence was deeply felt, Jimmy carried their memories with him, honoring them in his own quiet way. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a celebration of Jimmy's life on March 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. During this service, we will remember a man whose life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the enduring power of love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jimmy's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and desire to make the world a better place. Jimmy Clark's life was a tapestry of love, service, and dedication. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
