Celebrating the Life of Jim Michael Campbell Jim Michael Campbell, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 2, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jim was the cherished son of the late Michael and Mary Campbell. Jim lived a life full of love and laughter. He was a devoted husband to Karen Campbell, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family grounded in love and mutual respect, raising four children, Bruce Campbell, Brenda Taylor, Tammi Campbell, and Gary Campbell who were the pride and joy of their lives. Jim was also a doting grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren: Shelly Anne Chase, Richard Allen Campbell, and James Robert Campbell, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. For over 30 years, Jim was an active and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church, where his presence and contributions were greatly appreciated by the community. A man of strong faith and values, he consistently demonstrated kindness and generosity to all those around him. Jim was known for his quick wit and charming smile, traits that endeared him to everyone he met. His ability to crack a joke and lighten the mood in any situation made him a treasured companion to friends and family alike. After the passing of his beloved wife, Karen, Jim found solace and purpose in spending time with his children and grandchildren, often taking them on fishing trips and other adventures that created cherished memories for all. In his final days, Jim was cared for with exceptional compassion by the staff at Eskanazi Health, for which his family is incredibly grateful. Their dedication and kindness will forever be remembered and appreciated. A private funeral service will be held to honor Jim's life, in accordance with his family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue Jim's legacy of kindness and generosity. Jim Michael Campbell will always be remembered for his humor, warmth, and unwavering love for his family. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
