Jesus Able González

January 18, 1972 — October 6, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jesus Able González, who left us on October 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on January 18, 1972, in Oakland, California, Jesus was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished brother, and a loyal friend to many. He departed this earth surrounded by the warmth of his family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Jesus was the loving son of the late Emilia P. Gonzalez and Jose R. Gonzalez, who predeceased him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tami Gonzalez, whom he married on October 31, 2000, in a memorable ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by friends and family. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising their two wonderful children, Antonio and Tatiana Gonzalez. A man of many talents, Jesus was a certified mechanic, having graduated from the Sequoia Institute in California. His passion for fixing cars was matched only by his enthusiasm for mixed martial arts, where he thrived as a semi-professional fighter. Known for his hard-working nature and dedication, Jesus was a man who put his family first and cherished every moment with them. His infectious smile, kind heart, and ability to connect with children made him a favorite among the younger members of his extended family. Jesus's siblings, Jacinta Gonzalez, Margarita Gonzalez, and Rebecca Gonzalez-Ramos, will forever hold dear the memories of their brother, whose generous spirit touched everyone he met. His love for listening to Chicano oldies, and the way he shared that joy with those around him, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. In honor of Jesus's life and his commitment to helping others, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that was close to his heart. The family will hold a private funeral service to celebrate Jesus's life. They wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support from friends and family during this difficult time. In the words of his family, Jesus "helped everyone he could and loved everyone he met," a testament to a life lived with purpose and compassion. May his soul rest in peace, and his memory be a guiding light to all who knew him.
