In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Jessie Sue Moore, who passed away on May 31, 2026, after a courageous battle with serious health issues related to diabetes and heart failure. Jessie was born on August 30, 1977, in Overton, Texas, to Jewel Marie Herrin and Jesse Elbert Carter Jr., who both predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her beloved grandmother, Emma Elizabeth Herrin, and brother, Billy John Mobley. Jessie's family was the cornerstone of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her devoted children, Cherish Kylee Moore and Carter Anthony Moore, who were her greatest pride and joy. Her caring spirit lives on in her sisters, Beth Goodwin of Alvin, Texas, and Terri Onderdonck and her husband, Eric Kincel, of Chireno, Texas. She is also remembered by her stepbrothers, Grady Mobley and wife Juanita, and Bertis Mobley, along with her many nieces and nephews, including Dalton Bass and his wife Jazmyn and their children Destery, Charlotte, and Liam of Nacogdoches, Derrick Goodwin and wife Morgan of Sugarland, Jewel Bass, Allison Bass, of Nacogdoches, Karlee Carter and husband Trevor and children Cody and Leonidas, and Emiliegh Kincel and her daughter Avery, all of Kirbyville. Jessie is also survived by her estranged spouse, Wendell Moore of Center, Texas, and numerous cousins and extended family members who will feel her absence deeply. A proud member of New Hope Church in Alvin, Texas, Jessie found solace and community within its walls. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she drew strength from her deep love of Christ. Her church family played an integral role in supporting her through her health challenges, offering prayers, assistance, and companionship. Jessie was a woman of remarkable warmth and humor, known for her infectious laughter and kind heart. She had a talent for making those around her feel cherished and valued. Her daughter, Cherish, fondly remembers their long talks and cherished advice, while her son, Carter, honors her as a great lady whose memory he will hold dear. In her free time, Jessie delighted in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the escapism of B-grade movies, often accompanied by a cozy diamond art project or an engaging audiobook. But above all, her greatest joy was her children, for whom she lived and loved with every fiber of her being. A memorial service to honor Jessie's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Church, located at 221 South Gordon Street, Alvin, Texas 77511. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Amy Stoneman and Dr. Eugene Harper for their exceptional care and kindness, treating Jessie with dignity and friendship. Additionally, they thank the members of New Hope Church for their unwavering support, both in prayers and practical assistance. As we gather to celebrate Jessie's life, we remember her as a beacon of light and love.
