In Loving Memory

Jessie Ray Emory
June 16, 1957 — October 7, 2026
Jessie Ray Emory, born on June 16, 1957, in the warm embrace of Camp, Texas, has peacefully transitioned to eternal rest on October 7, 2026. Born to Lemyurel Emory and the late Jessie Jr. Emory, Jessie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication.
Jessie was a beloved husband to Debra D. Emory, with whom he shared 44 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, raising three wonderful children: Calvin, Darlin, and Kristina Emory. The joy of Jessie's life was amplified by his cherished grandchildren, Jailen Williams, Ariel Taylor, Davion Emory, Kai'Zee McKinney, and one great-granddaughter, each of whom he adored deeply.
His siblings, Linda King (Stepper), Sharon Emory, Bridgette Emory, Charlotte Emory, Margaret Willis, Antonio (Carol), Mike Emory (Denise), and Jackie Emory, along with his nephew Tyrus Glynn Emory, will forever hold dear the memories of their brother. Jessie is also survived by a vast network of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness.
Jessie's early education at Frederick Douglass High School in Pittsburg, Texas, laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He furthered his skills by enlisting in the Job Corps, which prepared him for a fulfilling career. Jessie began his professional journey as a truck driver but found his true calling as a Floor Technician. For over 25 years, he worked alongside nurses, doctors, and residents, earning a sterling reputation for his exceptional work ethic and dedication.
Beyond his work, Jessie found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid basketball player and a passionate wrestling fan, often gathering with his family to enjoy the excitement of the sport. His greatest delight, however, was spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he treasured above all else.
Jessie was predeceased by his brothers Robert Charles Emory, Solomon Emory, and Darlin Lamar Emory, who now welcome him with open arms in the hereafter.
A service to celebrate Jessie's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Stephens & Flowers Funeral & Cremation, located at 4003 Front Street, Brookshire, TX 77423. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life of a man who meant so much to so many.
