Born on July 28, 1941, in the quaint town of Waynesboro, Mississippi, Jessie embodied the spirit of generosity and compassion throughout her life. Daughter to the late Mary Bestor and J.B. Terrell, Jessie was predeceased by her loving parents and brothers, Robert, Cornelius, and Willie James Terrell, as well as her son, Billy Dell Terrell. Despite the heartache of these losses, Jessie found strength in her unwavering faith and commitment to her family and community. Surviving Jessie are her cherished sisters, Cathy Terrell and Delores Jones, who shared countless memories and joys with her. Her legacy lives on through her beloved daughters, Brenda Arrington, Vera Terrell, Jenny Arrington, and Kenya Gaines, who carry her spirit forward. Jessie was also blessed with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and dear friends, each of whom she held close to her heart. Jessie was not only a devoted mother and sister but also a revered pastor, known for her kindness and selflessness. Her home was a sanctuary for those in need, as she was always willing to give the very clothes off her back to help others. Her warmth and guidance touched the lives of many, and her community was made better by her presence and service. A celebration of Jessie's remarkable life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, a gesture that would resonate with Jessie's lifelong mission of giving to others.
