It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Jessie Clark, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this world on March 27, 2026, at the age of 53. Jessie was born on December 14, 1972, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Johnny Clark and Anna Taylor. He was a beacon of joy and laughter, whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jessie’s journey began in the vibrant community of Memphis, where he was raised alongside his siblings. He is predeceased by his loving father, Johnny Clark, and his brother, James Clark, both of whom he cherished deeply. Jessie was a proud graduate of Douglass High School, Class of 1990, where he formed many lifelong friendships and began to shape his unique sense of humor and love for life. His career at Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) spanned over 15 years. Jessie was not only a dedicated and hardworking employee but also a colleague who brought laughter and camaraderie to the workplace. His sense of humor and ability to tell a great joke made even the toughest days brighter for those around him. Jessie's personal life was a testament to his loving spirit and devotion to family. He shared 21 wonderful years with his beloved wife, NaTasha Clark, 16 of which they spent in marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Jessie was a devoted father to his two daughters, Alisa Johnson (Marquez Johnson) and Jessica Clark, and his only son, Jessie Clark Jr. He also leaves behind his sister, Janeice Clark (Timothy Isom), two uncles, and a host of friends, all of whom meant the world to him. Jessie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to dance, share jokes, and spend quality time with his family. However, his favorite pastime was grilling, an activity that became a cherished tradition for family gatherings and celebrations. His laughter and warmth were the heart of these gatherings, where his presence brought everyone closer together. As a grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren, Jessie’s legacy of love and laughter will undoubtedly live on. He was a grandparent who adored and inspired his grandchildren, leaving them with stories and values that will continue to influence their lives. A celebration of Jessie’s remarkable life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Superior Funeral Home, located at 460 E McLemore, Memphis, TN 38108. We invite all those who knew and loved him to join us in honoring his memory.
