Jessica Zimmerman

May 30, 1940 — June 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Jessica Zimmerman, who left this world peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 86. Surrounded by the warmth of her family and friends in the comfort of her home, Jessica’s journey on this earth came to a gentle close in the very place she loved most. Born on May 30, 1940, in the picturesque town of Cortez, Colorado, Jessica was the cherished daughter of her parents, whose love and values she carried with her throughout her life. Although predeceased by her beloved son Rudy Martinez, her twelve siblings, parents, and grandparents, Jessica’s legacy of love and resilience continues to thrive through her surviving family. Jessica was the beloved wife of Dick Zimmerman, her devoted partner in life’s adventures for many wonderful years. Their bond, built on mutual respect and shared dreams, remains a testament to the enduring power of love. Together, they nurtured a family that became the center of Jessica’s world. She was the proud and loving mother of her dear daughter, Mary Letbetter, and son-in-law, Donn Letbetter, who remained by her side through life’s myriad joys and challenges. Her grandchildren, Nicole, Josh, Alicia, Augie, and Jared, were the light of her life. Jessica’s heart was further blessed with the boundless energy and joy of her six great-grandchildren, who will carry her spirit into the future. Auntie Virginia, a steadfast presence and cherished family member, will also deeply feel Jessica’s absence, as will the many friends and extended family members whose lives were touched by her warmth and kindness. In her professional life, Jessica contributed her talents to Lockheed Martin, where she was respected and admired by her colleagues. Her work ethic and dedication were matched only by her genuine concern for those around her. Jessica’s passions extended beyond her career. She delighted in the simple joys of shopping and the festive spirit of holidays, where her generous and joyful nature shone brightly. Her home was a place of welcome, filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her lovingly prepared meals. A service to celebrate Jessica’s remarkable life will be held on June 22, 2026, at the Drink Wine venue, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory with stories, laughter, and tears. It will be a time to reflect on the lasting impact of a woman who loved deeply and gave freely. Jessica Zimmerman leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. Her memory will be a guiding light for her family and all who knew her. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of hope and love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Jessica’s honor, as a tribute to her generous spirit and compassionate heart.
