Jessica Sharee Tedder

April 22, 1978 — February 25, 2026

Born on April 22, 1978, in the welcoming embrace of Dothan, Alabama, Jessica Sharee Tedder graced the world with her joyful spirit and boundless compassion. It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by family and friends, on February 25, 2026. Jessica's life was a testament to kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she loved and cared for. Jessica was the beloved daughter of Diane Jones Braun and the late Danny Jerome Tedder. She was a cherished sister in spirit to many, and though her father and grandparents—Thomas Burl and Betty Sue Jones, and Lamar and Loyce Tedder—preceded her in leaving this world, they surely welcomed her with open arms. She is also reunited with her aunts Lisa Tedder and Anne Martin, her uncle Jerry Bruce Scarbrough, and her cousin Brandon Lee Scarbrough, whose memories she held dear. Jessica's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and resilience. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Wesleigh Diane and Emelia Scout Stocker, who were her greatest treasures and her source of immeasurable pride. She is survived by her loving mother, Diane Jones Braun, her supportive aunt Darlene Jones Brantley, her enduring uncle Jerry Tedder, and an array of cousins—Jennifer Miller (Rob), Jones Enfinger (Michael), Hannah Tedder, Austin Tedder, and Julie Martin. Her special friends Lockett DeGraff and Rebecca Moody Matherne, along with Matthew Stocker and countless other loving friends and family, will forever cherish her memory. Jessica's journey in education began at Northview High School, where she graduated in 1996. She continued her academic pursuits at Wallace Community College, earning an associate degree in 1998, before achieving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with honors, from The University of South Alabama in 2000. Her dedication to nursing spanned over twenty-five years, beginning in the Intensive Care Unit at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama, and culminating at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. As a post-partum nurse, she provided compassionate care to mothers and newborns and inspired future nurses through her role as an educator. Her tireless dedication and empathy earned her numerous DAISY Awards, a testament to the impact she had on her patients and colleagues. Jessica's life was as colorful and dynamic as her personality. In her youth, she was a formidable softball player known as the "clean-up" batter, a spirited cheerleader, and a talented dancer who could "cut a rug" at any moment. Her love for animals was evident through the many pets she adored over the years. Above all, her daughters were the heart of her universe, and she dedicated herself to them with unwavering love and devotion. Those who knew Jessica will remember her quick wit, radiant smile, and the joy she brought to every gathering. She was the life of the party, a beacon of generosity, and a treasured friend to all. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. A memorial service to celebrate Jessica's life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Details regarding the location will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jessica's honor to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation at https://cholangiocarcinoma.org. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ascension Sacred Heart and Vitas Hospice, as well as the many loving family and friends, for their unwavering support during Jessica's illness. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
