Jessica Dudley, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026. Born on December 7, 1979, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Jessica was the cherished daughter of Larry and Donna Ulrich. Her father, Larry, preceded her in death, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength that Jessica carried forward in her own remarkable life. A proud alumna of Governor Mifflin High School, Jessica graduated in 1997 and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in nursing from Alvernia University in 2014. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in her career as a registered nurse at the Reading Hospital, where she worked for over a decade. Her passion for helping people and her compassionate nature made her a favorite among patients and colleagues alike. Later, she took on a managerial role at Sense of Peace Home Care, where her influence and leadership continued to shine. Jessica was known for her quick wit and affectionate smile, always ready with a joke to brighten the day of those around her. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone she met, making them feel welcomed and valued. Her love for gardening and tending to her vegetables was one of her many joys, along with maintaining an active lifestyle and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her family meant everything to her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Joseph Gonzalez, Oriana Dudley, and Jizayah Dudley, as well as her treasured granddaughter, Vanessa Gonzalez. Jessica is also survived by her loving mother, Donna Ulrich, and her brother, Michael Ulrich. The bonds she built with her family and friends were a testament to her nurturing spirit and the joy she found in those closest to her. In her family's words, they extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Reading Hospital for their unwavering support during this challenging time. The family has chosen to honor Jessica's life with a private funeral ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, a cause that held personal significance to Jessica. Jessica Dudley will be dearly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
