Born on April 17, 1983, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Jessica was the beloved daughter of the late Jessie Allen and Bertha Bass. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kambria Moreland, and her son, Preston Moreland and a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to a large and adoring family. Jessica's life was a testament to her passion for learning and her dedication to her community. After graduating from Agriculture High School, she pursued higher education at Coahoma Community College, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for the land and its gifts. Her commitment to education and personal growth was admired by all who knew her. Throughout her life, Jessica was a beacon of love and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her infectious laughter and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She was a devoted sister to her sibling Kenshae Bass and a cherished aunt to her niece and nephews, and her family gatherings were filled with warmth and joy. Jessica's myriad of friends and relatives - including niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends - will forever remember her as a guiding light in their lives. Her memory will be treasured and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her. A service to celebrate Jessica's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Friars Point Elementary. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory and share in the love that she so freely gave. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jessica's memory. This gesture would be in keeping with her generous spirit and desire to help others. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Kidney Care for their compassionate and dedicated service, and for ensuring Jessica's final days were filled with dignity and love.
