Jesse Wilbert Wallace Sr.

July 3, 1940 — September 4, 2026

Jesse W. Wallace Sr. was born July 3rd 1940 in Atlas Texas to the late Allen Wallace and the late Addie Lee Thomas. He met a beautiful lady Charlene Joy Jeffery of Paris Texas, and they were married May 19th 1961. Six children resulted from their union. Jesse Sr. was a solid provider for his family, and served as bread winner, and sometimes homemaker, while Charlene was working. At times items on the menu were a little gamey, but still delicious to some of the kids. Jesse Sr. spent 45 years at Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber he would tell his family and others "He wouldn't want to change his job for anything- and he felt that way for 40+ years. Even though he had opportunities to do other things. His job was a real joy to him." He felt the job he loved helped him to fulfill his commitment to his wife and his family. Jesse Sr. retired after 45 years at one employer. He was a very good baseball player (pitcher) and avid hunter and fisherman. His preferred fish to eat were Catfish and Buffalo. He wasn't perfect but exemplified what and how a family man, provider, teacher and role model should perform their role daily. Jesse W. To Those Whom I Love

When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess How much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I travelled on alone. So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories that lie within your heart.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my sheperd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anoint mt head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. OUR APPRECIATION The family wishes to extend our most sincere gratitude to each of you for the many kind expressions of sympathy, prayers, and concerns. May God bless each of you.
