Jesse Robert Jones

Jesse Robert Jones was born on December 3, 1980, in Goodman, Mississippi to James and Juanita Jones. He died on August 12, 2026 unexpectedly. Jesse was a beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend whose presence brought warmth and light to all who knew him. Jesse accepted Jehovah early in life and became a member of the Lexington, Mississippi congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he found a community that enriched his spiritual journey. Jesse was a hard worker who, alongside his brother John, took over the family business, Jones Roofing & Construction, following their father's illness. Jesse and John continued the legacy of their father, performing construction work across Mississippi and neighboring states. Jesse was the cherished son of the late James and Juanita Jones and brother to the late John Paul Jones. He is survived by his beloved daughter, J'Andrea Ickom, and his devoted siblings: James L. Jones of Woodville, MS, David Hughes (Vanessa) of Lithonia, GA, Denise Mitchell of Charlotte, NC, and Shaun Michael Jones (Joanne) of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends who held a special place in his heart. Those who knew Jesse remember him for his genuine warmth, his infectious smile, and the way he made everyone he met feel valued and welcome. He had a profound love for his daughter, nieces, and nephews, and always spoke of how proud he was of them.
