It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jesse Montoya, who departed this world on October 23, 2026, at the age of 42, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on December 6, 1983, in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Jesse was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength to all who knew him. Jesse was a devoted family man, cherishing his roles as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Bernadine Montoya, who stood by his side through life's many adventures and challenges. Jesse's spirit lives on through his cherished children: son Micheal Ortiz and daughter Michaela Ortiz. He was also a guiding force and loving presence to his stepchildren, Alicia (Dom), Andres (Hayli), Abraham (Alexis), and Alijah (Nevaeh). His grandkids, David, Jace, Jeremiah, and Adyline, were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Jesse was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Montoya, and the mother of his children, Andrea Ortiz, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to have known him. For nearly two decades, Jesse dedicated his professional life to serving his hometown, working for the City of Las Vegas for 19 years. His commitment to his work and his community was unwavering, and he took great pride in contributing to the city's growth and well-being. Outside of work, Jesse found joy and solace in the great outdoors. Nature was his sanctuary, whether he was hiking through trails or simply enjoying the fresh air. A skilled and enthusiastic pool player, Jesse spent countless hours with his team, forming bonds that extended beyond the game. As we gather to celebrate Jesse's life, we remember his infectious smile, his generous spirit, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. He taught us the importance of cherishing every moment and to live life with passion and integrity. To honor Jesse's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to your heart or an organization of your choice.
