Jesse Hibbler
May 23, 1957 — October 19, 2026
Jesse Hibbler, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on May 23, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, Jesse was the beloved son of Jesse Hibbler and Dorothy Lewis. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mahala Lewis, his devoted parents, and his sisters, Veronica and Tamora Lewis.
Jesse's early years were spent in Los Angeles, where he attended 122nd Street Elementary School. As a young man, he developed a passion for baseball, playing throughout his high school years. This love for sports was only rivaled by his enthusiasm for barbecuing and spending quality time with his family. Jesse was known for his infectious smile that could light up any room, and his social nature made him a joy to be around.
He embarked on a successful career as a mechanic with RC Cola, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. His colleagues often spoke of his ability to bring people together and his genuine interest in the lives of those around him.
Jesse's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his three children, Roderick Hibbler, Donte Roberts, and J’Vone Hibbler, along with ten cherished grandchildren who brought immense pride and happiness to his life. Jesse's love for them was evident in the countless family gatherings he organized, always accompanied by the aroma of his famed barbecue and his hopeful purchase of lottery tickets, dreaming of a brighter future for those he loved.
A celebration of Jesse's life will be held on November 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the memory of a man who brought light and laughter into their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Jesse's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and love for helping others. Jesse Hibbler's legacy of warmth, kindness, and family devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
