Jess was born on September 14, 1996, in Logan, Utah, and although his journey began there, his life touched many corners of the world, leaving a legacy of kindness and inspiration. Jess spent his formative years in the Carolinas, where he graduated with the class of 2015 from Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, SC. His journey took him to Washington in 2022, where he continued to build a life filled with passion, love, and an enduring curiosity for the world around him. For the past six years, Jess dedicated his professional life to Amazon.com Inc., where he was known not only for his hard work and dedication but for his warm and approachable nature. Colleagues and friends alike admired him for the kindness and genuine interest he showed in everyone he encountered. Jess was a beacon of positivity, his gentle demeanor leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him. Beyond his professional achievements, Jess was an avid gamer and sim racer, with dreams of one day going pro. His enthusiasm for sim racing led him to not only participate but also mentor others as a sim racing driver coach, sharing his expertise and passion with aspiring racers. His love for gaming and racing was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his spirit of adventure and his drive to excel in all that he did. Jess is survived by his loving parents, Jennifer Dula and Albert Story, his devoted sister, Erin Story, his cherished nephew, Oliver, and his stepmom, Paige Dula. Each of them holds dear the memories of Jess's laughter, his comforting presence, and the countless moments that wove together the tapestry of a life well-lived. In accordance with Jess's wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes placed in a biodegradable urn to be planted as a tree. This unique tribute reflects Jess's enduring desire to give life even after death, allowing his spirit to continue nurturing the world he loved so dearly. While we grieve the physical absence of Jess, we find solace in the profound impact he made in his brief time with us. His legacy of kindness, passion, and connection lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
