It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Stanley Allred, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on September 22, 2026, at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 10, 1956, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Jerry Kenneth Allred and Louise Bell Allred. Growing up in Pine Bluff, Jerry attended local schools and was an active member of the community, including the boxing club where he honed his skills and built lifelong friendships.
At the tender age of 18, Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served for three years. His dedication and discipline were evident as he excelled in boxing and baseball during his service. After his honorable discharge, Jerry returned to Arkansas and began a long and successful career. He worked for George Pacific in the early 1980s before making a significant impact at Delta Steel in Pine Bluff. Over 35 years, Jerry's craftsmanship and dedication contributed to building many structures in Pine Bluff and surrounding areas, before he retired in 2023.
Jerry was more than his work; he was a man who cherished the natural world and the simple pleasures of life. His heart found joy in the great outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or simply spending time with his hands in the earth. He loved sharing stories of the past with his family, instilling in them the values and passions that shaped his life.
In the 1980s, Jerry married the love of his life, Shirley Allred, originally from California. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Jerry's legacy lives on through his devoted wife Shirley, his son Jeremy Wayne Allred Sr. of Rison, and his daughter Stasha N. Marlow of Pine Bluff. He also leaves behind his brother Paul R. Allred and his wife Gina of Pine Bluff, his sister Barbara Allred Edmonds, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Randall Paul Allred of Little Rock and Laura Clark of Tennessee, Jason Edmonds, Matt Allred, and Shelly Brown, all of Star City.
Jerry was a proud grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren, Arianna N. Fairbanks of Paris, Arkansas, and Evie E. Marlow of Sheridan, and his legacy continues through his grandchildren,jacy Lee Allred of rison and jay Wayne Allred jr.great grandchildren Kambree Fairbanks of Paris and Ryder T. Aaron and rylan w.aarron
Jerry's life was a testament to the strength of character, the importance of family, and the joy of living life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire us.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported Jerry during his illness and those who have shared their condolences. Jerry's memory can be honored with cards and flowers sent to 405 East Baldwin, White Hall, Arkansas 71602. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's name to a charity of choice.
