Jerry "JJ" Capers, beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2026. Born on January 15, 1983, in Charleston, SC, Jerry was the cherished son of James and Theresa Capers. His journey through life was marked by resilience, strength, and an unwavering love for his family. Jerry graduated from Stratford High School in 2002 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Voorhees College in 2007. His education laid the foundation for a life dedicated to both personal and professional growth. To those who had the privilege of knowing Jerry, he was a beacon of strength and encouragement. His character was defined by his unwavering resolve and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. Jerry was not just a son or father; he was a protector and a source of comfort. His presence had a unique way of bringing peace and reassurance to those around him. Throughout his life, Jerry faced challenges with courage and determination. He taught those around him the true meaning of resilience. His ability to leave a lasting impression on people was a testament to his remarkable character. A service to honor and celebrate Jerry's life will be held on August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. – West Ashley Chapel, located at 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, South Carolina 29414. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the life of a truly remarkable man.
