In Loving Memory

Jerry Hernandez
March 5, 1971 — September 2, 2026
Jerry Solomon Hernandez, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2026, leaving behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Jerry’s life was a journey filled with laughter, love, challenges, and experiences that helped shape the man he became. Although his time on this earth has come to an end, the memories he created and the love he gave will continue to live on through the people who knew him.
Jerry was a man with a big heart, a unique personality, and a sense of humor that could make people laugh when they least expected it. He loved telling jokes, sharing stories, and bringing laughter into a room. He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable, and those who knew him will remember the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the moments that made him who he was. His personality left an impression on others, and his memory will remain a part of the lives he touched.
Jerry loved life and had a generous spirit. He was the kind of person who would give someone his last plate of food if he knew they were hungry. His heart had room for others, and even through the difficulties he faced in his own life, there was a part of him that wanted to give, to connect, and to be there for the people around him. His life reminds us that every person has a story, that everyone carries struggles others may never fully understand, and that every life is made up of moments that deserve to be remembered.
One of the most important parts of Jerry’s life was being a father. His children held a special place in his heart, and he had an affectionate side that showed itself in the love he shared with them. The bond between a parent and child is one that cannot be erased by time, distance, or even death. The memories his children carry of their father will always be a part of their story. They will remember the moments they shared, the things that made him laugh, the stories he told, and the pieces of him that will continue to live through them.
Jerry also loved football and sports. These were some of the things that brought him enjoyment and gave him something to talk about with others. Whether sharing his thoughts about a game, telling a story, or simply spending time talking about the things he loved, Jerry found ways to connect with people through his interests and his personality.
Throughout his life, Jerry worked in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning field, better known as HVAC. Like many people, he experienced seasons of hardship and seasons of hope. His life was not defined by a single chapter, a single decision, or a single circumstance. He was a human being with a past, a personality, relationships, dreams, and a story that deserves to be remembered in its entirety. His journey was uniquely his own, and his life mattered.
Jerry’s passing is a reminder of how precious life is and how important it is to look beyond the surface when remembering someone. No life is without struggles, and no person can be fully understood by looking at only their hardest days. Jerry was more than the challenges he faced. He was a father, a son, a brother, a storyteller, a sports fan, a man who loved to laugh, and someone who had the capacity to show kindness and affection. He leaves behind memories that cannot be replaced and a place in his family’s history that will always belong to him.
Jerry is survived by his sons Jerry Hernandez and Anthony Guerra; his daughters, Anyssa Hernandez and Jasmine Gonzales; his brother, Arthur Hernandez; his sister, Priscilla Ramirez; sister in law Lisa Hernandez and niece Clarissa Grant and although she is no longer with us, his mother Juanita Ramirez and other relatives, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence.
