April 5, 1940 – March 29, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jerry Etta Felder, who departed this world on March 29, 2026, just shy of her 86th birthday. Jerry was born on April 5, 1940, in the warm embrace of Taylor, Texas, to Rufus and Novell Felder, who now lovingly welcome her into the hereafter. Jerry's early years were spent in the heart of Copeland, Texas, where she attended school and began to cultivate her love for cooking, decorating, and cleaning—passions that would accompany her throughout her life. She was a remarkable woman whose life's work was defined by dedication, care, and a profound commitment to her family and community. Throughout her career, Jerry worked tirelessly and with pride. She began as a domestic housekeeper, where she brought comfort and care into the homes of many. Her culinary talents were later shared with countless others during her years as a cook at Shoal Creek Hospital. Jerry's journey continued as she took on the role of custodian at America Statement and, later, as a caregiver at a group house, where she offered kindness and support to her clients. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jerry was a dedicated member of Promise Land Church, where her spirit of service touched the lives of many within the congregation. Her commitment to faith and community was a testament to her generous heart and unwavering love for those around her. Jerry is predeceased by her cherished parents, Rufus and Novell Felder; her beloved son, Robert Felder; and her dear sisters, Earline Felder and Lena Mary Felder. Her legacy of love and warmth carries on through her surviving family, including her devoted grandson, Roderick Felder; her loving sister, Maudine McFarlin; and a host of nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply. Though she has left this earthly realm, Jerry's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of compassion, texts, and calls from friends and loved ones during this difficult time. Jerry will remain forever in our hearts, a beacon of love and kindness. A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather at Linda's House, located at 17522 Wiseman Drive, Pflugerville, TX 78660, to honor her memory and share in the joy of a life well-lived. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
