Jerry brought warmth and light into the world on April 13, 1951, in the scenic town of Gunnison, Colorado. He was the beloved son of Gladys and Thomas Sullivan, who instilled in him a deep love for family and a steadfast sense of integrity. Jerry shared 56 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Christiane Clement. They were married on a crisp autumn day, September 5, 1970, and together they built a nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Jerry and Christiane were blessed with two wonderful children, Lisa and her husband James (Jim) Tuttle, and Sean Sullivan, who brought immense joy and pride to their lives. His legacy continues with his cherished grandchildren, Makenna, Mason, Kaycee, and Gavin, who knew him as an ever-present source of wisdom and warmth. He was also a loving brother to Patsy Wertz, John Sullivan, and Clay Sullivan, and a devoted uncle to Nora, Calvin, and Ross. Jerry proudly served his country with honor in the Army Airborne division from 1971 to 1974. His service was a testament to his courage and dedication, values he carried throughout his life. After his military service, Jerry applied his skills and passion to his work as a mechanic, welder, and heavy equipment operator. His career took him across the rugged landscapes of Colorado and Nevada, where he became known for his unwavering work ethic and expert craftsmanship. Jerry was a man of quiet strength and immense kindness, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a steadfast friend, a devoted family man, and a pillar of his community. His gentle spirit and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on everyone he met. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his memory and celebrate the remarkable life he led. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
