It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jerry Andrew Allen, who left this world on June 30, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on November 3, 1971, in the charming town of Lincolnton, NC, Jerry was a beacon of warmth and kindness, beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerry was the cherished son of the late Harold Dean Allen and Brenda Kay Hester Grubbs. He was a devoted brother, preceded in death by his sister Teresa Allen Bivens, whose memory he held dear throughout his life. His unwavering love and loyalty to his family were evident in the special bonds he maintained with his surviving brother Teddy Allen and his wife Melissa, as well as his siblings Jonathan (Laura), Tammy, and Tina. Jerry's heart also belonged to his beloved girlfriend, Jessica Weathers, who stood steadfast by his side through life's joys and challenges. Jerry was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the gentle rhythm of nature. An avid fisherman, he often spent peaceful days by the water with his brother Teddy and his dear friend Larry, casting lines and sharing laughter. These moments were a testament to his love for the outdoors and his appreciation for life's serene beauty. Professionally, Jerry was a dedicated and skilled tractor operator at Dixie Lawn, where he was known for his strong work ethic and the genuine camaraderie he shared with his colleagues. His presence in the workplace was marked by his reliability and the good-natured spirit he brought to every task. Though Jerry had no grandchildren, he was surrounded by the lively energy of his many nieces and nephews, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. His family extended beyond human bonds to include his faithful canine companion, Gozmo, whose loyalty and companionship were a source of comfort to Jerry. Jerry's gentle soul and generous spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His legacy is one of kindness, family, and the simple but profound joys found in a life well-lived. In honoring his memory, we celebrate the love and laughter he shared, the friendships he nurtured, and the warmth he spread throughout his community. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a time and place to be announced, where friends and family will gather to share stories, memories, and to pay tribute to a remarkable man who will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Jerry's generous spirit and his lifelong commitment to helping others. May his soul rest in eternal peace, in the gentle embrace of the heavens above.
