In Loving Memory of Jerome Trent With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jerome Trent, a beloved father, grandson, brother, uncle and friend, who departed this life on June 27, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on March 26, 1990, in Riverhead, New York, Jerome was a beacon of light and love whose laughter and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerome was predeceased by his loving parents, Derick and Beverly Trent, grandparents James and Rosalie Liggon who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into eternal peace. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Jordyn Trent, who was the joy of his life and his greatest legacy. Jerome is also mourned by his devoted grandparents, George and Molly Trent, his sisters, Tonya Miles (Tyrone) and Natisha Trent, 4 nieces, 2 nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special friend, Sabrina, all of whom adored him dearly. A proud graduate of Riverhead High School, Jerome pursued a fulfilling career in construction, dedicating over ten years to building not only structures but also a lasting impact on those he worked alongside. His colleagues and friends remember him as a hardworking, reliable, and generous soul who brought a unique lightness to every job site with his quick wit and infectious warm smile. Jerome's zest for life extended beyond his profession. He was a passionate basketball player, finding joy and camaraderie on the court. He had a culinary flair that transformed every meal into a delightful gathering, and his love for traveling allowed him to forge deep connections and memories across the globe. Jerome had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, a testament to his extraordinary kindness. A celebration of Jerome's life will be held on July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, located in Patchogue, NY. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Jerome are invited to join us as we honor and remember the beautiful soul who brought love, laughter, and joy into our lives. Jerome Trent leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Though gone too soon, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
