In Loving Memory

Jerome Lavell Landis
September 19, 1976 — October 3, 2026
Jerome Lavell Landis, born on September 19, 1976, in Louisiana, passed away on October 3, 2026, after bravely battling illnesses following a stroke. Jerome's life was a testament to resilience and humor, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met.
Jerome was raised in a loving family by his devoted parents, Glenda Faye (Williams) James and Eric James, Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Theodore (Dino) Belvin, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.
Jerome is survived by his cherished parents, Glenda and Eric James of Decatur, Alabama. His brother, Eric James, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland and his two sisters, Twana Keene of Baltimore, Maryland, and Latasha Jackson (Karmella), who will forever hold his memory dear.
As a father, Jerome's heart was full of pride and love for his children: his son, Jerome Landis, Jr., and his two daughters, Jalisa and Jaylin Landis, all of Baltimore, Maryland. His legacy lives on through them and his three treasured grandchildren, Payton Langley, Armani McMicheal, and Ayce McMicheal, who brought immense joy to his life. Jerome's extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, feel his absence deeply.
In his professional life, Jerome pursued a career as a Crane Operator and a Truck Driver, these roles have well suited his adventurous spirit and allowed him to explore the open road. Outside of work, he found joy in music, often immersing himself in the studio with his nephew, Akeem Belvin, creating tracks and rapping. Jerome was known as the family jokester, always ready with a saying or a joke that left those around him laughing (busting a gut) and uplifted.
Jerome's laughter, love, and light will continue to shine through the many lives he touched. He will be remembered and cherished always.
