February 6, 1968 — March 23, 2026

In loving memory of Jerome Herbin, who journeyed from this world on March 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his devoted daughters and the laughter of his cherished 18 grandchildren. Born on February 6, 1968, in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, New York, Jerome was a beacon of warmth and wisdom throughout his life. Jerome's early years in Brooklyn were marked by a deep-seated passion for automobiles, a love that would guide his career and become his lifelong calling. Graduating from New York State with a specialization in mechanics, he transformed his boyhood fascination into a successful vocation. Known for his perceptive nature and straightforward manner, Jerome was always ready to share his extensive knowledge about cars with anyone who sought him out. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he had a knack for making the complex seem simple to understand. Beyond his love for cars, Jerome was a man of impeccable style, always presenting himself with a handsome demeanor and a sharp wardrobe. His hardworking spirit was matched only by his unwavering dedication to his family. Jerome's legacy is carried on by his six beloved children: Takia, Myashia, Victoria, Jersae, Jerrica, and Pernell, each of whom inherited his strength and resilience. Jerome’s life was richly blessed by his marriage to Ivy, his beautiful wife of 11 years. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Though their time together was tragically brief, it was filled with joy and profound companionship. He is survived by his father, James T. Herbin, and his six children, who will continue to honor his memory. Jerome’s presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his 18 grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life. Jerome is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lynda C. Fails-Herbin, his dear baby sister Monica Herbin, and his best cousin Ronnie. Their spirits will surely welcome him into their eternal embrace. As per the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate and honor Jerome's remarkable life. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a cancer research organization of your choice, in memory of Jerome’s courageous battle. Jerome Herbin's life was a testament to passion, dedication, and love. His memory will forever remain a guiding light for those who knew and loved him.
