Thomas, who departed this life on June 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 24, 1987, in the vibrant city of New York, NY, Jerod's life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and quiet strength. Jerod was a resident of Snellville, GA and the cherished son of Tammie Lewis and the late David Thomas. A proud graduate of Nottingham High School in Syracuse, NY, he carried his dedication and strong work ethic in this professional life, serving faithfully at well-known companies across various industries. A true lover of nature and jazz, Jerod found peace in the outdoors and joy in the music of his favorite artists, Kem and Norman Brown. He delighted in traveling, sharing laughter, and bringing light and warmth to everyone blessed to know him. Jerod leaves behind loving and expectant fiancée, Shavonna Hernandez and their daughter, Imani; his son, Julian Carbonaro; his mother, Tammie Lewis; his brothers, Shontay Thomas and David Thomas; his sisters, Melita Beauford (Hasan) and Nasara Rogers; his grandmothers, Ella Mae Tyler and Louise Lewis; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Throughout his valiant fight with cancer, Jerod displayed extraordinary courage and an unyielding spirit. He faced each day with gratitude, grace, and a quiet determination that inspired everyone who walked beside him. His unwavering optimism, even in the face of adversity, was a reflection of his remarkable character. Jerod will be remembered for his warrior's heart and faith that carried him through every trial. He met obstacle with courage and perseverance, leaving behind a legacy rooted in strength, hope and quiet confidence of a man who trusted God through it all. A celebration of Jerod's life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 1PM at Oakwood Cemetery, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember the beautiful life he led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jerod's memory to the American Cancer Society, in hopes of bringing comfort and hope to others facing similar battles. Though Jerod's light has left this world, it continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and cherished.
