In Loving Memory

Jermone Jamar Laster
August 29, 1972 — October 3, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jermone Laster, a beloved son, father, partner, and friend. Jermone was born on August 29, 1972, in Buffalo, NY, and left this world at ECMC on October 3, 2026, surrounded by those who cherished him.
Jermone was a man whose life was characterized by intelligence, kindness, and an unyielding spirit. He was known for his humility and the unique ability to listen and learn from everyone he met. Jermone's presence was a gift; he was, as many would fondly say, an angel on earth.
A proud graduate of Seneca High School, Jermone pursued higher education at Bryant and Stratton College in Buffalo, NY. He dedicated many years to his career at Patina 250 in Buffalo, a place where he not only worked but thrived alongside his beloved partner, Latasha. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and positive force, always ready to lend a helping hand or tackle any task with determination.
Jermone's life was filled with love and adventure. Since 2016, he and Latasha shared a beautiful relationship, marked by their shared passion for travel. Jermone frequently embarked on trips to NYC and was always eager for a new adventure or cruise. He was the person to call when you needed good company or someone to share your favorite pastime.
Jermone leaves behind a loving family, including his son Ahrmod(20), daughter Nilah(26), close friends, uncles, aunts, and his devoted girlfriend, Latasha. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit and the indelible mark he left on their lives.
A service to celebrate Jermone's life will be held on October 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at True Bethel Baptist Church, located at 472 Swan St, Buffalo, NY 14204, United States. The Laster family extends their gratitude to all who have supported Jermone throughout his life and in these difficult times.
Messages from Jermone’s loved ones:
A message from his loving son Ahrmod Laster,
My Father was a great man. He was a laid back modest man just like myself. He had a kind and gentle soul that was adored by many Distance was our only obstacle but our love for one another was never less. Not in a million years would I have wanted a different father. I’m grateful for the time that God allowed us to share.
RIP dad, I will continue to make you proud
I love you Moddy
A message from his loving daughter Nilah Laster,
My dad was my hero,
Since the beginning of my life he was there literally in the delivery room . I remember being a baby like 4 when I thought to myself this man is the coolest man ever! And to this day no one can convince me otherwise. My parents were never married so I had to live with both parents in two separate states. It was hard for all of us but dad always called always sent money and most importantly expressed love. When I was old enough to be on my own the only thing I wanted was my dad. When he came to get me from SC. I was scared he was scared but we never gave up on each other and almost 5 years later I’m saying goodbye. My heart is broken but he told me I’d have at least 1 more heartbreak in my life, I wouldn’t want any other man to have broken it. I love you dad rest well
Jermone Laster may no longer walk among us, but his spirit, kindness, and love will forever remain in our hearts.
